Happy New Year Loves!!

I know I know I know....as usual I am a little late on my blog posting...hehehe!

But here I go with another attempt to update you all on my little world.

For those of you that do not know my man asked me to be his girl on 01/01/00...so this was our 10 year anni of him being my man and me being his girl =)

This anni means a lot to me because our love story goes as follows:

* Boy meets girl while girl working in store 11/10/99.

* Girl says to friend at store " that guy is sooo cute, I am going to marry that guy!"
friend than calls guy over and girl freaks out by running in back room...(really, I really did run to the back)

* Friend gets boys phone number for girl, girl never calls.

* Boy comes in on later date and asks girl "why no phone call?" girl responds.."because girls don't call boys" That's riiiight!
He laughs and calls girl that night.

* For the next couple of days they fell in love and didn't even know it...

* One conversation was about all the silly things kids used to do, including passing those notes that would ask:
Would you be my girl? Please check one, YES NO MAYBE

* Boy and girl went on first date on x-mas eve at the Cheesecake factory!

* Then on new years eve boy and girl went on date at weird family friends house, but boy gives girl a note...asking
"Would you be my girl? Please check one, YES NO MAYBE"

That was how we started this crazy life together...

After that we dated for 3 years and one day just decided to elope...we actually got in the car. I was wearing a white dress from Express and went to a Drive Thru Chapel, we splurged though and went inside. He rented me a vail and had 5 friends attend.

It was very Brit meets her first husband...geez!

The family was devastated that we did it that way. And Honestly...I am not to sure till this day why. But we have made through it all in the last 10 years..

Which brings me to this:

(I have been wanting this ring forever! it is a yellow canary diamond, with infinity band. The pics don't do it justice. Center stone at 1.5 C, total ring with band 3.5 C.)

We went to spend new years at Key Largo with his parents and some of his friends and when it came time to give our anni presents to each other (mine being a card ...with poem, a Hershey's bar and a $25 Macy's card...lol, we are broke believe it or not!)

He re-proposed!!! It was so amazing, in our hearts we were doing things the right way this time.

He handed me this

from Z Gallerie and inside there was a fortune with this message:

Will you marry me again? YES NO MAYBE?
May the next 10 years be as blessed as the last 10.
I love you baby.

And on the back he added:

Lucky Numbers
7 his b day
13 my b day
1 new year anni
5 may (wedding anni month)
21 wedding date

Awesome huh?

It was amazing...I still need to upload all the pics and the video so I can share with all you lovelies...

Happy new Year my friends...

and here is the oh so cliche list of resolutions:

*** Blog! Fix this blog...make it nice and easy to navigate through.
*** Make my life a little easier...try to find the perfect balance between a successful bus woman, daughter, wife, and someday mom.
*** Spend a lil more time on myself.

What are yours???

I've been a bad bad...

blogger, I know!

Sorry my friends...but Geez sometimes life just hapens and sneaks up on you like cold pizza.

But Lets do a recap. This is how my incredibly boring week went...

Last sunday I am proud to say that hubster and I worked a March Of Dimes event to collect $ for the babies. But it was killer. 7-4 near the beach, so our Florida sun had no mercy on us.

Monday I worked my bones off till 6, straight to class to get ready for my final when my teacher does not show up! I turn into panic, come back home and start to work on final essay for English class...I am writting a research paper on Meth, let me tell you. I can educate you on it without a problem. Just ask =)

Tuesday-Wed, I started to get ready for a not so nice medical procedure....let just say that I lost about 4 pounds in a day and a half and had things in less flattering areas of my body! Ouch...
No eating for 32 hours! Just water. So I was so so out of it. Oh, and I still had to head over to school to take that math final...eeek!

First meal....Antony's coal Fire Pizza.

Thusday and friday I just worked till night time, my favorite boss left and that just meant so much more work for mua!
But thank God my branch is kicking booty!

Yesterday I had my garage sale! I am proud to say that I made $120 and got rid of a lot of stuff, ahem...crap!
And you guys know that I have been on a major decluttering rampage.

Last night we went to the Hard Rock for my leaving boss' party...damm, we got home at 3! That is crazy for me and as I sit here and write to you my friends, it is with much regret that I should not have had 3 crans and vodka, 1 shot of tequila, beer, and no food! lol. That all equals a major hangover.

So you see, that was my week in a nutshel.

I promise I'll be better.

I will be posting up pics of the MOD event, Garage sale, and my drunk escapades..lol.

Sweetness

Today Hubster showed up at work with these at hand, he left work a little early and as he made his way home he decided to drive across town to come see me!!!

After my surprise he took me to lunch and I was still speechless!

But all that got me thinking about our journey...

you may look at this and say " what did he do now?" or "is there something that he feels bad about?"

and so does other people,

there was a customer at my job that said " no, you have to be newlyweds" we said, " no mam, we are the furtherst from that"

then she said " than it's your anniversary" and as she left she said " do you have kids??" we replied, "not yet" and she blurted "that's why!"

We named her Negative Nelly.

Trust me guys, we have come a long way to find peace in our marriage. That is what I like to call it. Peace...

And I mean that in the most honest way possible, when we first got married we wanted to kill each other! We never lived outside of our parents' house till that day. It was completely new territory on both ends...

And that took years to get used to...

We have gone through so much together....you cannot imagine what we haven't gone through, because after almost a decade as a couple we have weathered most storms and not given up...

So, when I say this to you...My heart still skips a beat when I see this man...I mean it.

I heard the other day that love is not everything in a marriage and I agree...It is just the topping.

Everything else takes time and work to get perfect...

My weekend in lovely Florida......

Hubster and I spend Saturday at Lincoln Rd. If you know S. Fl, than you know Lincoln Rd. You know that it's near S.Beach and it's a great place to catch perfect weather, kick back, and relax.

We walked around for a bit, wished we would've brought Bambi along because there were so many people with their dogs walking around...

We ended up eating at Sushi Siam, that was where they had their drink menu rated by alcohol content, which was Aw-so-me!
That was an easy choice for us, bring us the strong one! =)

Until that thing came with an umbrella and a cherry......lol.

The hubster and I could not stop laughing....and the waiter laughed at us when he brought it...can you believe that???

But he did not care! He drank that drink like a MAN!

Look at the pic... you can say what you want, but we were toasty after! That thing was veeeery strong!

We ended the day at about 7, and took some really pretty pics of Fl and it's beauty...

As I Promised: Margarita Recipe

here is my hubsters famous recipe:

i guarantee you, it is the best ever!

1 part tequila*
1/2 part orange liquor*
3 parts margharitaville margarita mix
squeeze quarter of a lime
shake over ice
pour into salted rim glass and enjoy!!!

*Quality makes all the difference. We recommend a good tequila (i.e. Patron, Tres Generaciones, 1800 Anejo, etc) and a good Orange Liquor (i.e. Gran Marnier, Contreou, Patron Citronage).

Funny stuff...

The Hubster and I took our lazy butts out for date night last nite! We went to the hard rock hotel and casino and saw this comedian:

I almost fell off my chair laughing....i loved it. enjoy.

My Handsome Husband loves his X-mas/Anniversary present...he looks like a true rock star right? After a few trips to the best buy music department he fell in love with this beauty. And I do mean mean love. He is very careful with her. It is very cute. He is teaching himself how to play. So Cute. One of these days I'll youtube him. Promise.

Epcot Food & Wine Festival

We went to the International Food and Wine Festival in Orlando, Fl this last weekend as I mentioned in the previous post. We drank so much wine and ate little inny minny portions of whatever from all different booths that of course represented different countries, it was torture! Some of those things we ate were unbelievable! Especially the lamb chops that we ate from Italy! My husband went back for three of them....
So here is what we looked like there....and of course we had a little fun at the rides too! (BTW- I LUV'd donald).
